Fancy Prance

Grab your sneakers and support a great cause in 2025 as the Esther's Friends Fancy Prance is back!  This year we will have some exciting new prizes and raffles!

For those new to the Fancy Prance, Esther's Friends' Fancy Prance is a virtual 5K run and walk inspired by Esther's love of being fancy and having fun - so wear something fancy and fun and remember Esther, while making a difference in the lives of children facing long-term hospitalizations! 

While we have categories for the entire family, the 5K distance is especially meaningful as that is about the distance from Esther's house to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, where Esther met with her specialists and stayed during her hospitalizations.

Other distances include a 1-Mile Run (or walk, if you prefer) and a Kid Dash!  Everyone, no matter how old or young, can get in on the fun - whether you choose to run with a necklace, glowstick, tutu, superhero cape, headband, nail polish - whatever is that one little extra thing that makes you smile and feel happy!
